Toy Soldiers: Cold War

Toy Soldiers: Cold War is a prequel to the 2010 title Toy Soldiers. This action and strategy game takes place during a war between the USSR and USA with military technology of the 1980s-era and a fictive scenario where the Cold War has escalated. The gameplay is mostly the same as the original game. All battles take place in a diorama. The player has to defend certain key points against enemy soldiers, boats, airplanes and vehicles including a huge tank, a winged tank, and a Typhoon submarine.

The players can place certain defensive structures including anti-tank or anti-air weapons. Every defensive structure can be commanded and used by the player. If tanks or helicopters are available, these can also be used in a third-person perspective. Unlike the previous game, these can only be used for a limited time, based on the battery of the toys that runs out after a certain amount of time. Killstreaks are rewarded in the form of calling in airstrikes or controlling a commando.
