Treasures for Sale

Treasures for Sale is an educational sales game for the Apple II.

Players search through their home to find "treasures" which can be sold at a local yard sale. Gameplay is divided into several parts. First, the player searches around 3 rooms of their home, the attic, bedroom, and basement, to locate items people may want to purchase. This is done by moving a hand icon around a scrolling image, and the player can search in various boxes and closets. If items are found, the player receives a description, and can choose to add the item to the sales list, up to 4 items. The player can then interview potential customers in the neighborhood, how they make their money, and what types of items they might be looking for. The player then develops an advertisement for their items from a series of predefined templates, in hopes of attracting a customer.
