Voyage of the Beano

Voyage of the Beano is a humorous and illustrated game of interactive fiction set during the colonization of the Americas. The game starts in the fishing village of Cockadoodle Bay, near London, England. The protagonist is J D Hogwash, a lowly captain. After stealing a piece of smugglers' treasure with Barnacle Bill, he is captured by a Spanish galleon by accident and eventually sent to the New World by Queen Bess to fight the Spaniards and bring back gold. Along the way there are pirates that will attempt to get to the treasure first.
