War of the Roses

War of the Roses: Kingmaker is a multiplayer third-person action game where you fight online over English towns during the War of the Roses between the Houses of York and Lancaster in the 15th century. There is a variety of weapons including swords, daggers, axes, hammers, lances, spears, bows, maces and crossbows. It is also possible to fight mounted when the ability is unlocked. Experience points and in-game gold are earned based on the performance during battles and can then be used to unlock new weapons, armour and perks. The game attempts to model the medieval weapons as accurately as possible. Bows have to be aimed quite high above the target, crossbows take a long time to reload (leaving the character quite vulnerable) and dispatching enemies on horseback is challenging.
