Water Fall

You are an emoji. You find yourself confined in some sort of bottomless pit, endlessly scrolling as you fall downwards. How long can you last? Water Fall is a simple arcade game with just one character, your protagonist, with randomly generated scrolling platforms and colored pellets. Your goal is to always land on a platform, avoid the pits and move fast enough so that you won't be caught between a platform and the top of the screen. Also, collect as many pellets as you can along the way. Pellets come in different colors each with its corresponding point value. Additionally, every second or so that passes awards you with points, so the longer you survive, the higher the score. The game gradually picks up speed and platform patterns become more challenging, culminating in an unavoidable game over. The control mechanics are extremely simple, there's no jump button and you can only move left or right to land on platforms below. Visually, there are a couple of notable features. The game runs on low resolution semigraphics and there's some (Choppy) backdrop parallax scrolling. When it comes to audio, the game only supports the Tandy Speech and Sound Cartridge if your computer is equipped with one, playing a simple tune and a few phrases in synthesized voice, e.g. when you pick up a pellet the game announces aloud the number of points made.
