Winged Warlords
Description
Winged Warlords is a 1–2 player Joust clone for the BBC Micro. Players take control of a knight with a lance who rides their flying ostrich to do battle against evil computer-controlled ostrich-riding knights. Players can move their character left and right. The ostrich walks if on a platform, but will take to the air when it flaps its wings.
The goal is to hit enemies from a higher vantage point to destroy the knight and its mount. Once the enemy has been hit, an egg falls to one of the platforms below. The player must destroy the eggs before they hatch into a new knight.
Other dangers include lava trolls who attempt to pull knights into the fire, and a vicious pterodactyl. As game play progresses more knights appear and platforms begin to disappear making for more open levels.
