Zap Zilden
Description
Zap Zilden is a single-player, 2D or 3D, Pac-Man game. The game is very similar to the original. It is keyboard/joystick controlled, the player walks around a maze eating pills as they go and the object is to eat all the pills to complete a level and advance.
Where the game differs is that instead of four ghosts the baddie take the form of a big eye, there's one baddie on level one with an extra baddie being added on each level as the player progresses. The power-up pills in this game are called 'blasts', the player starts with three of them and others can be gained by eating enough pills or one of the power ups that appears briefly and randomly in the game area. A blast is activated by pressing the spacebar and any contact with a baddie while it is active will send the baddie back to the start where it must wait a while. However the main difference is the option to play in either the traditional way in 2D, or in 3D using a mini map to avoid getting lost.
The full version of the game has ten three-room levels and at the end of each level the player is presented with a card game in which they have three chances to turn over a pair of cards. If the cards are identical the player wins bonus points or an extra life.
