Zen Pinball: Marvel's The Avengers
Description
Marvel's The Avengers is a DLC pinball table for Zen Pinball 2 (Mac) and on mobile for Zen Pinball (HD). It is also the table included with the purchase of Marvel Pinball for iOS and Android, which is a spin-off from the Zen Pinball franchise, only for Marvel tables.
It is based on the 2012 movie The Avengers with characters originally introduced in the Marvel comic books. The player takes control of the Avengers team with Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man and Thor to defend against the global threat started by Loki, Thor's half-brother. The Avengers attempt to contain Loki aboard the SHIELD Helicarrier.
The table has a regular set of flippers at the bottom and an additional one near the top right. There are three outlanes on the left and two on the right. At the start of the game one of the six Avengers can be selected, represented by a ball with colours that refer to the characters. Each ball has a slightly different handling with specific lanes and targets for the chosen character. After locking a ball, a new Avenger can be chosen. Loki is present as a 3D animated character on the table, and some of the Avengers such as Hulk, Thor and Iron Man appear as well. There are four game modes that can be activated, such as Thor fighting Loki, Black Widow uncovering Loki's plans, repairing the engines of the Helicarrier, and Hulk smashing Loki duplicates. There is a large centre piece with targets and various lanes left and right. The ball can be shot into the Helicarrier to lock it. In that mini-game the flippers are used to guide a ball as in a small version of the wooden labyrinth ball game, avoiding holes to reach the front of the craft.
