Assault IV
Description
Assault IV is a 1-player strategy game for the TRS-80.
It is March 20, 1993. The world has been at war for two years. The conflict has been reduced to a European land war. Most Allied commanders believe that victory is close at hand, but intelligence has confirmed that the enemy is massing their strongest combat divisions in an area approximately 100 kilometers north of Dresden in preparation for a slashing drive across Germany. You take on the role of general of the 5th Army Group, under command of NORPAC, to crush the enemy buildup.
At the start of combat, the player is in control of 16 divisions, consisting of infantry, armored, and airborne. These can be placed in 4 corps, or in reserve. The player must rotate divisions between these 5 positions to push back the enemy charge. The enemy will randomly attack while repositioning troops, and sometimes your own division commanders will attack without orders. If the player's position is pushed back too far, it's game over.
