Astro-roids

Astro-roids is an unofficial Xerox Alto implementation of the Arcade game Asteroids. The game plays out the same way. The player takes control of a spacehip that can change rotation and thrust forward and backwards. The player must destroy asteroids that fly around and will break up into smaller pieces. The player must avoid the space rocks and also the occasional fire from a passing UFO. The gameplay wraps around at the edges of the screen meaning the player's bullets that exit the right of the screen will reenter on the left creating an additional hazard for the players themselves. Highscores are recorded between sessions.
