Butcher

Description
Butcher is a single-player 2D side-scrolling shooter game. The player takes the role of a cyborg soldier created to eliminate the last remnants of humanity across war-torn outposts, factories, and military complexes. The story is minimal and presented through the setting itself, with the player character acting as an unrelenting enforcer of extinction rather than a savior, tasked with wiping out human resistance wherever it still survives.
Gameplay revolves around fast-paced combat with an emphasis on aggression and momentum. The player navigates non-linear, arena-like levels filled with platforms, hazards, and enemies. A variety of firearms are available, including shotguns, assault rifles, flamethrowers, and railguns, all of which are designed for high lethality and create gory on-screen effects. Enemies range from lightly armed soldiers to heavily equipped units. Blood and destruction are persistent, leaving the battlefield marked by past skirmishes as players progress.
There are no upgrades or dialogue systems, and player performance is measured through survival and efficiency rather than narrative choice.
