Cops Chase

Description

Cops Chase is an LCD game with three screens, part of the tri-screen series. It's a cops and robbers themed game where you play the role of the police chasing after a criminal, starting at the bottom screen and working his way up. The game is essentially a reskin of Mars Raid with the exact same gameplay, except different backgrounds and characters.

  • The bottom screen is the first screen, here a police car is driving along a bridge, chasing a getaway car that is throwing bombs, move left and right to avoid the bombs. Survive long enough to go to the next screen.
  • In the second screen in the middle, the police car is at the bottom moving left and right and shooting at a helicopter at the top through three rows of jumping motor cycles. The motor cycles are flying off three ramps blocking your shots and the helicopter at the top shoots back at you. Hit the helicopter three times to move to the final screen.
  • In the third screen at the top, the criminal has landed his helicopter near the docks to escape in a submarine. The police are in a boat on the water surface and throw bombs down to the submarine. The criminal is moving left and right, the player has to move left and right and throw a bomb at just the right time to defeat the criminal in the submarine. After that the game restarts from the first screen at the bottom.

Each screen has its own miss counter, meaning that in the bottom screen you can hit a bomb a maximum of three times but this is separate from getting hit three times in the second screen, or missing three throws in the third screen. The game can be played either in normal mode going through all 3 screens in succession, or each of the screens can be played as an individual game. The device has a D-pad and buttons located alongside the bottom screen. The top screen can fold onto the middle screen for easy portability. There is a built-in clock and alarm function.
