Deputy Dan

Deputy Dan is an LCD game with three screens, part of the tri-screen series. It's a wild west themed game where you play the role of Deputy Dan who has to stop two bank robbers, starting at the bottom screen and working his way up.

• The bottom screen is the first screen, here Deputy Dan has to cross the street and go into the bank. Avoid getting run over by wolves, buffaloes, a horse and covered wagon and a steam locomotive.
• The second screen is a shootout inside the bank. One robber is taking all the money from the safe and the other is moving up and down shooting at you. There is a bank clerk moving up and down acting like a human shield, try to shoot the robber and avoid hitting the clerk. Hitting the bank clerk costs 10 points, getting hit by the robbers and you lose a life. Hit the robber 3 times to defeat him, and then the other robber takes the sack of money and flees from the bank to the final screen.
• The third screen at the top is a one-on-one fist fight. Try to punch the robber while blocking his blows. The player can punch and block high and low. Defeat the robber and the game restarts from the first screen at the bottom

Each screen has its own miss counter, meaning that in the bottom screen you can be run over max. three times but this is separate from getting shot three times in second screen, or getting knocked out three times in the third screen. The game can be played either in normal mode going through all 3 screens in succession, or each of the screens can be played as an individual game. The device has a D-pad and buttons located alongside the bottom screen. The top screen can fold onto the middle screen for easy portability. There is a built-in clock and alarm function.
