Deardrops

Deardrops is a Japanese adult visual novel which combines elements of romance, music, and drama. The player takes on the role of a young violin prodigy named Shouichi Suganuma who has recently had his musical career snatched away from him as the result of an unfortunate incident while playing abroad. Upon returning to his native Japan, the depressed Shouichi starts working at a free house where several other aspiring musicians routinely gather to practice their skills, dreaming of turning their passion into a career. As Shouichi gets to know these individuals, he finds his passion for music slowly reignited, and they combine their talents to create a band named Deardrops. But as Shouichi knows all too well, the road to success is never easy, and each member will have to struggle in their own ways to see their dreams fulfilled.

Like most visual novels, the gameplay revolves around navigating through the story by reading text and periodically making a decision that may influence the outcome of the plot, leading to multiple branching storylines and endings. Through the player's choices, various romantic storylines develop, leading to deepening relationships with the female characters. Some of these storylines include scenes with explicit sexual content. The game features voice acting for all significant characters except the protagonist.
