Deathtrap

Deathtrap is a 1-player arcade game for the TRS-80.

The player controls a small character with a continuously elongating tail. The player can move in the cardinal directions, and must avoid striking their tail or various mines or walls that appear in the level. After a specified time period, an outer wall opens up, and the player can escape the level. The player starts with 3 lives, and gains a life every time they escape a level with 20,000 points.
