Deckball

Deckball is an action sports game from the Neopets virtual pet website. It can be played with the computer or with another human. Two competitors, the parrot-like Pawkeet and the ape-like Mirgle, are playing a game of Deckball on the deck of an old galleon. It is not unlike an one-on-one game of soccer.

Score is gained by pushing the Deckball into the opponent's goal. The action is seen from a top-down view, and the player can rotate left and right and run forward in order to kick the ball. The player's movement is made harder by inertia. Occasionally, powerups appear, which last until a goal is scored. The powerups can change the player's speed, change the ball's direction, or block the player's movement.

Three game modes are available: Survival (score as much as possible before the opponent scores a goal), Timed (win within 3 minutes to receive a reward), Points (score 5 points as fast as possible). In a one-player game, completing the game awards the player Neopoints (the Neopets currency), but only on the highest difficulty level.
