Despatch Rider

Description
Despatch Rider is a single-player side-scrolling arcade game.
Dick Decker, after failing out of high school, and having been a failure at numerous jobs without discovering where his talents lie, has taken up a job at the Darren Dorkin Despatch Agency. As he jumps on his supercharged Puch to go to work on his first day, his fiance Debbie tells him, "If you don't keep this job, then the wedding is off!". The owner at the despatch agency informs Dick that his trusty Puch is unfit for the job, and he will have to use his Yamasaki 750, which is 660cc more than Dick has used before.
A side-scrolling arcade game, the player can navigate their motorbike up and down, accelerate and decelerate. The bike loses fuel at a set rate, and the player must drive fast enough to collect gas tanks before running out of fuel. The player must pick up mail bags and deliver them to the Royal Mail offices. The drive is complicated by the need to avoid deep puddles, cones, barricades, and burst water mains. There are a total of 7 levels, and the player starts with 5 lives. The player must restart a level if they hit a danger or run out of fuel.
