Drop Block

Drop Block is a 1 or 2-player falling block puzzle game for the Apple II.

The player drops equal-sized coloured blocks from above similar to Tetris. The goal is to match 2 or more blocks of the same color, at which point the blocks will disappear. A counter on the bottom of the screen shows the players' progress to the next level. Intermittently grey blocks will drop which can not be removed except from a large bonus score. If 4 or more blocks are combined at the same time, two rows of the puzzle disappear. As gameplay continues, blocks begin to move faster, and more colors are introduced into the mix. The goal is to maximize score by playing as long as possible.
