Duo Deck Solitaire

Duo Deck Solitaire is a series of 2 solitaire games for the TRS-80 CoCo.

Each game requires 2 decks of cards to play:* Sly Fox: 4 aces and 4 kings, 1 of each suit are removed from the double deck. 20 additional cards are placed in a 4 x 5 pile between them. The player tries to build up the ace foundation, while building down the king foundation. During the first phase, cards placed on either foundation are immediately filled from the stock. In the second phase, 20 cards are placed on the 4 x 5 pile in whichever positions the player chooses. The player then tries to place as many cards as they can in the 3rd phase, but spaces are not refilled. The second and third phases are repeated until there are no moves remaining or the foundations are filled.

• Windmill: Gameplay starts with cards placed in the shape of a cross, with an ace in the center called the primary foundation. The 4 empty spaces between the arms of the cross are the secondary foundations. The arms of the cross represent 8 reserve positions. The primary foundation is played from ace up, while the secondary foundations are played from king downwards. Cards are played from the stock or the waste to try to complete the foundations. Gameplay ends when all foundations have been filled.
