Ever 17: The Out of Infinity
Description
Ever 17: The Out of Infinity is a complete remake of the Japanese sci-fi mystery visual novel Ever17: The Out of Infinity.
Like in the original game, the story takes place in the near future and puts the player in control of one of two protagonists: a student named Takeshi Kuranari or an amnesic boy referred to as "Kid". Both characters are visiting an underwater theme park called LeMU when an explosion suddenly rocks the park and traps them both inside. The player's decisions determine how the story unfolds.
The new features of this remake include:
- An entirely rewritten script with major story changes
- A redesigned LeMU layout (with a new Control Center room and no more Sandwich stand, etc.)
- Completely re-recorded dialogue
- A remixed OST with new opening and ending songs and some extra tracks
- Cropped 16:9 CGs instead of the original 4:3 with addition of several new CGs
- Completely remade backgrounds
The Ever 17: The Out of Infinity original Xbox 360 version features 3D models for character sprites instead of 2D illustrations. The 2025 PC/PS4/Switch versions feature 2D illustrated sprites as well as English and Traditional Chinese subtitle support.
