Far Star
Description
Far Star is a top-down science fiction themed arcade game designed to teach math skills.
The player controls a small spaceship which can move in all directions, and fire vertically forwards. The player can choose from either addition, subtraction, or a combination of problems. The player starts at the bottom of the screen, and their goal is to position their ship atop the correct answer to the math problem shown on the screen. The player can use their's ships laser to destroy incorrect answers, asteroids, and alien vessels, but if they are hit, they lose a life. If the player correctly solves an equation, they start again at the bottom of the screen with a new challenge. The player starts with 5 ships, and if all are lost it's game over, with the goal being to maximize score.
