Starion

Starion is a 1-player sidescrolling arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

Your goal is to rescue the asteroid belt castaways, by taking them four by four to the blue transporter tubes. The player controls a small spaceship which can move in all directions, including marginally backwards, but still steadily moves to the right. The player can only fire to the right. The player must maneuver past a number of dangers including alien lasers, moving walls, space vessels, and electrical fields. The player must reach into the cavern where the castaways are stranded, use their laser to pick up 4 each visit. After dropping off 4 castaways, the player repeats the level to gather 4 more. The player has limited fuel and oxygen. Fuel can be picked up by shooting depots. The player starts with 3 ships, and it's game over when all are lost.
