Gōketsuji Ichizoku: Senzo Kuyō
Description
Gōketsuji Ichizoku: Senzo Kuyō follows up on Shin Gōketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnō no Kaihō's storyline. Oume calls a new tournament, leading to a new clash of some of the strangest characters around. Whereas the previous two games in the Matrimelee trilogy were more traditional, "old-school" fighting games, Senzo Kuyō takes some influence from the "anime fighters" that were growing in popularity at the time. Gameplay is now much faster, and characters can perform chain combos by chaining together normal attacks in the order of A, B, C, D. It also introduces launcher attacks, air dashes, and aerial combos. Several new characters are introduced:
- Sandra Belti, Angela's grandmother.
- Elizabeth Belti, Sandra's younger sister.
- Prince, Sissy's older brother.
- Rin Oyama, Reiji's niece, and a fellow karate practitioner.
- Takumi Hattori, Saizo's cousin, a strange mask-wearing child.
Like the Gōketsuji sisters, Sandra, Elizabeth and Prince all have the ability to transform into alternate versions of themselves.
