Golden Void
Description
Golden Void is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.
The Srednas beast squirms towards the player, who controls a small laser cannon that moves laterally at the bottom of the screen and fires vertically upwards. The field is filled with mushrooms. Yellow and green mushrooms can be shot and destroyed. Red can not be destroyed. When the Srednas beast hits a brown mushroom, it reverses direction. When a green or red mushroom is eaten, the Srednas unleashes deadly venom towards the player.
The Srednas can only be defeated by shooting its head. When this happens, the giant ants that live within the body are released, and the player must avoid these as they descend. After all mutant ants are defeated, Emperor of the Void Nola Nerog sends a void ghost to attack the player. This fires a horizontal beam than can only be avoided by jumping over it Each level, a more powerful Srednas is sent that contains more ants within.
