Grimspin

Description
Grimspin is a simulation game set in a fantasy environment known as Grimwood Grove. The primary objective is to restore an ancient machine, gradually rebuilding and upgrading it while uncovering the history and conflicts of the surrounding world. Progression is framed through exploration, character interactions, and preparation for an impending threat affecting the grove.
Gameplay centers on operating and expanding a slot-machine–like mechanism that differs from traditional implementations. Spins consume Energy, which regenerates over time, rather than expendable tokens. Outcomes are determined by the total occurrence of symbols across the reels instead of consecutive paylines. Through upgrades performed in the Forge, players can expand the machine's structure, significantly increasing rewards and altering how symbols and payouts function.
Progression systems are tied to several interconnected features. Players can contribute resources to receive temporary boosts, purchase enhancements that improve machine performance, and unlock advanced systems such as the Gem Mine, which provides long-term rewards. Weekly leaderboards introduce a competitive element, allowing players to compare progress and efficiency with others.
Narrative elements are delivered through a cast of distinct characters, including Scarecrow and Pumpkin, each featuring custom dialogue that advances the story of Grimwood Grove. Tasks guide players through scripted events, world-building moments, and preparation for an anticipated conflict involving the antagonist known as Evil Skoof. These tasks structure progression while gradually revealing the setting's lore.
The game includes an offline mode that allows play without an internet connection, separating core progression from online features such as leaderboards.
