Gun Princess Zero

Gun Princess Zero is a small, NES-styled metroidvania platform shooter. During the cold war you're sent on a top-secret mission to disarm four missiles, each guarded by a boss. Several weapons and upgrades can be bought in stores in exchange for the gold you find fighting enemies, and even other upgrades can be found around the world that will help you explore it further.
