J. R.

J. R. is a 2-player resource management strategy game for the BBC Micro.

Each player controls an oil company and, on each turn, can perform research and development, explore, redrill, reprice their oil, alter workforce, or pass a turn. The goal is to find and drill for oil to sell on the market. Research and development lowers the cost of drilling and oil production. The player must manage the size and payroll of their workforce. The goal is to take control of the market and bankrupt their opponent. The player must compete with natural disasters and employee issues every few turns.
