Description
Linkrealms is a sandbox MMORPG designed to recapture the spirit of early online role-playing games such as Ultima Online while integrating modern features. It offers an open-ended experience where player choice shapes character progression, economic roles, and the broader game world. Community interaction and player freedom are central to its design, with systems that encourage both individual play and cooperation.
The game uses a classless, skill-based progression system. Characters improve abilities through use, allowing players to develop a unique combination of skills over time. This system supports a wide range of playstyles, from combat-focused builds to non-combat roles such as crafting or farming. Because no skill choices are permanent, players can adapt and refine their approach as they progress.
A major feature is its player-driven economy. Players gather resources by farming, mining, and hunting, then craft goods or trade with others. Every item in the game, from weapons to potions, is made or distributed by players. This interconnected economy rewards specialization and creates opportunities for collaboration between gatherers, crafters, and traders.
Land ownership is another key element of gameplay. The game world is divided into individual “realms” that players can claim and customize.
