Description
Marshmallow All the Way Home is a Japanese adult romance visual novel which chronicles the lives of a young man and the girls he meets at a pastry shop.
The player controls Ryo Miyahara, a student who is left without a place to stay after being kicked out of his home. By sheer luck or divine intervention, Kanon Kasukabe, a cute girl who owns a nearby pastry shop called the “Marshmallow Tree”, offers Ryo a place to stay in exchange for working for her part-time. As Ryo gets accustomed to his new routine of balancing school and work, he develops feelings for some of the girls in his life, and must decide whether he wants to be with Kanna, who hints that she has similar feelings for him; Ushio Asaka, Kanna's best friend; Sasa Misuzu, a picture book author who regulars the shop; or Raiha Räikkönen, a half-Finnish girl who works at a rival store.
Like most visual novels, the gameplay consists of reading through the story, interacting with characters, and periodically making decisions which may cause the story to branch off into different routes. Each of the four main heroines has an associated route in which they can be romanced. The game features voice acting for all significant characters except the protagonist and contains explicit sexual content.
