Mau Mau

Mau Mau is based on the eponymous card game that is popular in Germany and other countries and plays like Crazy Eights or Uno. The player is up against 1 to 3 computer opponents and the goal is to be the first to discard all the cards in their hands.

Each player is initially dealt 7 cards, and the first card of the remaining stock pile is turned face up. Each player then takes turns and must play a card that is either the same suit or the same value as the last played card, or pick a card from the stock pile.

Some of the cards demand specific rules:

• A 7 means the next player has to pick two cards.
• A 8 means the next player has to their his turn.
• A Jack means the player can choose a new suit for the cards played next.
• An Ace reverses the direction of play.

A round is over as soon as any of the players has played their last card. Scores are calculated based on the cards still in the possession of the other players. When a player reaches a set numbers of points (200, 300, 400, or 500), they are removed from the game. The game ends when there is only one player left.
