Mighty Mormar
Description
Mighty Mormar is a text adventure game following the exploits of the titular hero. Mormar, along with Princess Aleaya was space-traveling to his home planet, Hartley, but his vessel was intercepted by General Vagg's Battle Cruiser. Snatched by its powerful tractor beam, Mormar's spacecraft and its passengers are taken aboard the gigantic flight deck. The Princess was taken hostage, the spacecraft emptied of all fuel, while the hero has been blinded and stripped of all possessions, left to die. But, unbeknownst to the enemy, Mormar's servant robot was left unharmed. From now on, it will act as his eyes and hands, accompanying him along his exploration of the vast Battle Cruiser on his quest to save Aleaya, pick necessary equipment and escape together.
Heavily based on Dog Star Adventure, this text-only game sees the player navigate various locations by using commands like "UP" or "NORTH", while actions are performed by issuing a two word sentence, i.e. "GET BLASTER" or "SHOOT GUARD". Objects collected are stored in the player's inventory and carried until dropped at any given location. Each location is briefly described with some text, while characters and items present are listed as well.
The gameplay revolves around finding where the Princess is at, re-equipping and refueling your spaceship and making an escape unharmed. The game supports saving and loading on a cassette.
