Perilous Journey
Description
Perilous Journey is a 1-player Lunar Lander variant for the 8-bit Atari.
The player controls a landing vehicle with limited fuel that tries to land on one of the multiple landing pads on the alien landscape. The lander can use fuel to move left, right, or decrease its descent, while gravity accelerates the vehicle downwards. Increased points are awarded for more difficult landing sites, and additional fuel up to 500 units can be obtained by safe landings on the refueling landing site.
The player can gain additional points through multiple safe landings, but fuel will deplete between landings unless replaced. If the player hits outside of a landing area, or is moving too fast vertically or horizontally while landing, then it's game over.
