Perplexian Challenger

Perplexian Challenger is a 1 - 4 player arcade space shooter for the Commodore 64.

Played from a 1st person perspective, the player controls a star fighter and has to destroy incoming alien vessels. Alien ships appear two at a time, and the player controls the direction of their fire to destroy incoming vessels. As the player takes damage and fights enemies their shields, lasers, and fuel are depleted. Destroyed vessels may leave pods which help recharge the player's energy if collected.

Each player begins with a fleet of four fighters. After every 1000 points, an additional fighter and eight points are awarded. There are 4 levels of difficulty.
