RahJongg: The Curse of Ra
Description
RahJongg: The Curse of Ra is a tile matching game where the player tries to remove all the tiles from a pile by matching pairs. In order for the tiles to be matched they must be The tiles matched must be straight lines containing no more than two right angles.
There are two ways to play the game, Story Mode and Practice Mode.
The Story mode is based on the fall of Ra who has been cursed by his brother Re to suffer for eternity. The curse can only be lifted by solving a series of puzzles, each of Re's seven dynasties has seven holy puzzles, and then there's the final puzzle to lift the curse making fifty in total.
When each level is completed the player is given a password which allows them to restart the game from that point.
Practice mode generates random puzzles which can be played by one or two players.
In both modes puzzles are timed. Single player games can be controlled by mouse or keyboard, in two player games one player can use the mouse or both can use the keyboard.
The game also contains a level editor so that players can create their own puzzles
The game was released commercially by eGames and as shareware by Used Star, the shareware version contained the first sixteen levels of the game. An add-on mission pack, Ra's Revenge containing fifty extra levels was also released by both eGames and Used Star.
