Rollem

Description

Rollem is a one or two person, turn based, shareware, strategy game based on the ides of rolling marbles to score points.

After deciding who goes first the game area is revealed, it's a grid that's populated with numbered cells, arrows and obstacles with a row of marbles across the top. If a falling marble lands on an arrow it rolls left/right depending on which direction the arrow is pointing and causes the arrow to switch direction, if it hits an obstacle it stops. Points are scored depending on how far down the screen the marble rolls, reaching the bottom of the screen scores one hundred points and rolling over a numbered score adds that amount to the distance score.

Each player has twenty marbles. When all have been played the second phase of the game begins, here the game removes obstacles and any marbles that are thus free to fall will do so adding to a player's score, this makes it worth taking a low score in the first phase if, by doing so, high points cam be scored in the second phase.

The game has three levels of difficulty, a high score table, sounds and long/short modes of play. It can be played by two people or as a one player game against the computer.
