Shuffle Mania!

Game cover: Shuffle Mania!

Description

Shuffle Mania! is a 1–2 player shuffleboard game for MS-DOS.

Played from a top-down position, the player tries to position discs on the playfield by controlling the initial position, strength, and angle of the shot. The position of the initial disc is displayed in the bottom right of the screen, as the position rapidly scrolls laterally. The player must fire when the disc is in the correct position. Then, a force meter and an angle meter rapidly increase, and the player tries to click a button to align both meters near the center for an accurate shot. Discs can be pushed into other discs to move them about the board, and a disc is lost if it hits the edge or the back of the playfield.

Gameplay options include two variations of classic shuffleboard, where the players tries to place discs for points on a triangular-shaped field. There is also target shuffle, where the player tries to place discs towards the center of a target, and dead line, where the goal is to place discs within an X-shaped basket. Variations on curling and ha'penny are available, as well as trying to position discs on ladders or squares for points. There's even a bowling variant where the players try to knock down pins.
