Sickly Days and Summer Traces

Sickly Days and Summer Traces is a Japanese adult visual novel/raising simulation game which takes place in the Japanese countryside.

The player controls the brother of Asumi Mirai, a girl with asthma so severe that she has been unable to leave the hospital for most of her life as even the slightest exhaust fumes or pollution can trigger an asthma attack. After their absentee father dies, Asumi and her brother use their inheritance to move to the countryside, where they start living together. However, Asumi remains under the watchful eye of her primary care physician, Ane, whom the protagonist must convince that his sister is capable of living outside of the hospital. To achieve this, he must improve Asumi's health and happiness by making decisions that will better her life.

In addition to the typical visual novel gameplay where the player must make decisions at certain intervals, the game contains a mix of systems which determine how the story unfolds. The player must perform activities which raise Asumi's maximum HP, happiness, or both, so that Ane is satisfied each time she visits. The game progesses in increments of days, with some activities requiring Asumi to rest longer and unlocking different scenes. As an erotic game, the game contains many sex scenes between the protagonist and his sister.
