Sim

Sim is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The energy crisis is reaching a catastrophic level. The galactic superhero, Hercules K. Orangebottom, has been commissioned by H. M. Govt. to go in search of Simarils to feed the reactor.

The player controls a character in a jetpack who moves laterally, and can accelerate upwards. Gravity will constantly pull the character down. Contact with any enemy leads to loss of life. Hercules can pick up or drop one item at a time. The player must search the 70 fixed screens of underground corridors, and avoid a wide variety of enemies and dangers to collect all 10 Simarils and feed them into the reactor in the temple. The player starts with three lives.
