Cosmic Fighter

Cosmic Fighter is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The play controls a spaceship at the bottom of the screen that moves horizontally and fires vertically. Waves of alien vessels approach from the top of the screen and move towards the bottom. The player's goal is to destroy all alien vessels before they reach the bottom. Any ships that reach the bottom force the player to start higher on the screen in proceeding waves. The player has limited fuel, consumed by movement and firing. The player loses a life if they run out of fuel or are hit by alien vessels. Every five levels the player has a chance to refuel by shooting a mothership and then docking with it. The player starts with three lives.
