Cosmic Fighter

Cosmic Fighter is a 1 or 2 player space themed arcade game for the TRS-80.

The player controls a small space fighter on the bottom of the screen, which can scroll horizontally. The ship is armed with a small laser which can fire vertically upwards. Waves of alien ships approach from the top of the screen, and then scroll out the bottom. These ships fire small laser shots vertically, while an alien mothership shoots large laser bolts directly at the player. The player has a limited fuel supply, and moving and firing uses up energy. Every several levels, a resupply ship appears on the screen. The player must align their ship with the docking port in order to receive more fuel, while avoiding or destroying the alien mothership. The player receives a new spaceship every 10,000 points. The player starts with 3 ships, and when all are lost, it's game over.
