Star Drifter
Description
Star Drifter is a 1-player arcade game for multiple systems.
One of the Class VII B ships of the ill fated Galactic Colonization Programme has mysteriously re-entered Earth space, totally silent. Non- humanoid life forms have been detected on board. The player must enter the ship and explore through 120 rooms to solve the enigma of the Star Drifter.
The player controls an astronaut that can move in all directions. The player has limited health represented by oxygen that is lost by contacting enemies or force fields. The player can carry up to three items at a time, one of which is a blaster that allows the player to defend themself. Oxygen tanks can be picked up to restore health. Locked doors require the player possess the correct two keys to pass through, and keys can be dropped at any point. Other doors can be destroyed by concerted fire. Disks, mechanical equipment, and other items can be picked up for bonus points. The player starts with three lives, and it's game over when all are lost.
