Star Trap

Star Trap is a 1 - 2 player arcade game for the TRS-CoCo.

The player controls a small slow moving character in a maze. Their goal is to trap the rapidly moving star in a position where it cannot move. The player can drop a limited number of Xs, which block the star's passage. These are used to trap the star. The Xs can be picked back up again if needed, but each use of an X causes a loss of score. There are numerous gates, including: speed, jump, invisible, and magic. These affect character movement speed and the supply and effect of Xs. The game ends when the star has been captured. Players can create custom maps, where they define these parameters. The trapper has a limited time to end the game before all the diamonds around the edge of the screen disappear.
