Summer Saliens
Description
Summer Saliens was available on Steampowered.com from 21st June to 4th July 2018 during the annual Steam summer sale. This is a massively multiplayer tower-defence / shooter game where the player needs to defeat waves of aliens (Duldrumz) and accumulate points. The player can customize their character (Salien) and then choose one of several planets to conquer. Each planet is divided into a number of tiles, which differ in threat level (difficulty). Once in the action, the player shoots the ray gun using the mouse and also uses keyboard keys for special abilities. Initially one ability is available, but the player can get up to four abilities by accumulating points and advancing the levels.
Many Steam users could play the game at the same time. Eventually, tiles would become "conquered" by Steam user groups and a boss of a planet would appear. New planets were unlocked as the players conquered available worlds. Each planet held a number of actual games (Steam versions) that the players had a chance to win by playing Summer Saliens. Also players could get Steam summer sale trading cards.
