Tank Attack 2D

Tank Attack 2D is a top-down action game. The player controls a tank and tries to survive as long as possible against enemy tanks which constantly spawn in. The controls follow the standard dual-stick system (one stick controls movement and the other aim), but the fire rate and bullet speed is relatively slow. This means it is important to lead the target. Every time the player is hit by an enemy bullet, health goes down; running out of health means the loss of a life. The game is over when all three lives are gone.

Over time, not only more regular tanks will be on screen at the same time, but also especially powerful tanks with special attacks and more armor will spawn in. To counter those overwhelming odds, the player should collect all power-ups which frequently spawn on the playfield: extra health, extra life, an instant four-way laser attack, bouncing ball (the balls bounce back from the level boundaries; active for 15 seconds) and rapid fire (30 seconds). For every 100 killed enemies, the player also receives an additional smart bomb which clears out all enemies. When driving over the boundaries of the screen, the tank will appear on the opposite side.
