Undefined Fantastic Object
Description
Undefined Fantastic Object is a 2D vertical scrolling danmaku/bullet hell shoot'em up game. The game is the twelfth official title in the Tōhō series. The player chooses one of three characters - Reimu Hakurei (shrine maiden in Hakurei shrine), Marisa Kirisame (human magician, Reimu's friend) and Sanae Kochiya (shrine maiden in Morya shrine and newbie god). The story in the game is inspired by Buddhism (instead of Shinto) - several youkai want to free Byakuren Hijiri.
Gameplay is very similar to other Tōhō games - characters fly forward, shoot enemies, avoid many bullets and fight against bosses. The bombs system is similar to previous games, like in Tōhō 6 to 8. The player can catch coloured UFOs to gain special bonuses.
