Xerd no Densetsu 2: Xerd!! Gishin no Ryōiki

20 years after the events of Xerd no Densetsu, the protagonist Urus has finds himself in a world unknown to him. His colleague and fiancée Anisu helps guide him on his quest to find out where he came from. They eventually find out that the planet they are standing on was artificially crafted by aliens.

Gameplay elements differs in multiple ways. Instead of walking around, the player travels around and between towns and dungeons via a map screen. Travelling costs stamina, and if it runs out, the party will need to camp and consume rations. Monster encounters can occur, and in combat, each party member has four options to tackle an enemy. Along the way, two additional NPCs can be recruited, then removed if desired.
