Astro Blaster
Description
Astro Blaster is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.
The player must protect their king from alien invaders by steering a large spaceship to blast incoming alien enemies. The ship moves horizontally at the bottom of the screen, and fires vertically. The player's king moves back and forth just below the player. Above, alien spaceships move as a group, and one ship will swoop down and position itself at the bottom of the screen.
When the king comes into contact with an alien vessel, the ship will abduct the king and try to bring him to the top of the screen. The player tries to shoot all alien vessels as well as prevent the king from being abducted. The player loses a life when a king is taken, and gains a new life every 10,000 points.
