Castle Quest

Castle Quest is a 1-player arcade game with puzzle elements for the BBC Micro.

The player must explore the castle in search of the wizard's treasure. The screen scrolls in all directions, and the player can move left, right, climb ladders, and jump.

Various items to help solve puzzles can be found, including: a stool, a sword, a wand, a bucket, several torches, a ruby, and an aqualung. The player can pick up these items, and also throw them a short distance. Up to three items can be stored in the player's backpack at a time. A number of dangerous creatures including castle guards, trolls, spiders, and a wicked witch must be outsmarted or avoided.
