Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir

Description
The Missing Heir is a modern remake of Famicom Tantei Club: Kieta Kōkeisha, a visual novel originally released for the Famicom in 1988. The game has been rebuilt with modern graphics, animation and voice acting, though the basic game play remains the same. The player takes on the persona of a young detective who was just found unconscious at the bottom of a cliff, with no memory of his identity or the case he was working on. Over the course of the game the player must interrogate witnesses and examine various locations for clues, in order to discover the truth behind the death of a wealthy dowager and the events that followed her passing.
Most of the game play is via dialogue, with the player selecting various subjects to question suspects and witnesses; new options will always be indicated in yellow but the game won't always give clear hints as to what dialogue is needed. The investigation portion of the game involves traveling to selected locations and using the cursor to examine items in the frame. The Switch version also adds in a notebook to allow the player to review pertinent facts of the case after they are discovered.
