Galaxy Wars

Galaxy Wars is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player controls a space ship that moves laterally at the bottom of the screen and fires vertically. There are four levels of difficulty which affect enemy ship movement and fire rate. Ships either move laterally across the screen, fall towards the bottom of the screen leaving fire to avoid, or swoop towards the player.

When all enemy ships are destroyed, the player moves to the next level. Every third level involves a docking sequence where the player must align themselves with their mothership. The player starts with three lives.
